Nomad Story is an entrancing online store that showcases carefully curated looks from across the globe for women who express their style through modesty.
The client wanted to appeal to curious women around the world looking for modest fashion pieces that are elegant, versatile and timeless. The client, a self-professed nomad, wanted to channel her natural explorer spirit to roam the world and curate stylish modest pieces from emerging ethical designers.
At a time where fashion lovers across the globe are turning away from fast fashion towards niche brands that tell their unique stories, Nomad Story had to bring entrancing designs and bold looks that empower women everywhere who want their style to exude their individuality.
Intervention
The client wanted to ensure that from the minute they decide to search for a new piece to the moment they receive it, every Nomad Story customer feels cherished. A heartfelt message from the founder, both on the website and encased in each sustainable package, connected customers to the brand, creating moments of delight along every step of the user journey. We designed boxes, wrapping paper, ribbons, greetings cards, stickers and hangtags for Nomad Story, with each box containing a hand-written message from the founder to create a one-on-one connection and show her relatable qualities. A complimentary scented silk bag delivered to each customer served as an enchanting reminder of Nomad Story inside her home.
We set guidelines for Nomad Story’s website and oversaw the design process so website content would reflect the brand’s seven values and reflect the new brand identity - revamped with an elegant color palette. The style connoisseur feature allowed women to filter their search by occasion, style or price and offered a personalized selection of complete looks suited to their needs.
Across Nomad Story’s digital platforms, including social media, newsletters and website, we created a space to introduce each designer and their background, reflecting the founder’s passion for supporting emerging talent. To streamline designer signing, we wrote application guidelines for designers to be featured by Nomad Story.
We advised the use of a range of inclusive models to capture the brand’s versatility and diversity and developed a detailed set of photography guidelines to be followed on social media and in editorial shoots. We curated content to showcase the versatility of each piece and prove that modest should not be mistaken for boring.
Results
We successfully positioned Nomad Story as the only entrancing online store that showcases carefully curated looks from across the globe for women who express their style through modesty. The brand’s unboxing experience and online user journey allowed each customer to feel indulged and valued when receiving her order from Nomad Story.
All elements of Nomad Story’s brand reflected its identity as an online store for curious, cultivated young women from a diverse range of backgrounds, allowing every woman to find an echo of herself in the brand.
