Challenge
The Valley is a resort in Riyadh located at Laban Valley, it’s associated with another well-known resort The Cliff, and it has 29 villas and a stunning experience. The Valley commissioned Blue Hat for Resort Branding. They wanted to portray the core brand DNA though an unmissable visual identity that suited the space.
Intervention
The concept revolved around The Valley as a place that provides its residents with a white canvas for endless possibilities. Guests can bring their own experiences and enjoy a multitude of instagrammable moments and delightful aspects from the pool, the walking area, the waterfall, and modern designed interiors (Country Style).
Results
We positioned The Valley as the only resort in Riyadh located at a valley, offering high-end experiences to individuals and groups looking to connect and socialize. Their purpose is to provide an escape/getaway to friends and families who are looking to socialize. After researching the industry, competitors and what differentiates The Valley from the sea of resorts, we classified their values as the following: High-end, design-driven, indulgent, modern, and open.
The Valley’s unique selling points all revolve around the space itself, which boasts of an accessible and well-designed walking area that extends from the entrance to the exit, the spacious units which give the customer a sense of comfort and luxury, and overall multiple instagrammable moments scattered throughout the place such as the entrance, the pool, the unique country-style interior design, and the iconic waterfall.
The visual direction explores the emotional experience of the guests at The Valley as they connect with their loved ones, creating intimate memories. The logo tells the story of The Valley through its main components and key selling points: Water (pool/waterfall) designated by the motif of the blue waves, Nature (sand/plants/stone) represented by the sand dunes and the designed villas with unique interiors (wood/stone/tiles) shown by the vertical lines.
The Valley's color palette includes pastel green, with light and dark hues, a serene blue, and a muted havane color that manifests as a gradient. We created all the design collaterals including the business cards, the stationary, letterheads, and the envelopes. We even tapped into the uniform, where we designed the attire from receptionists to the staff on ground.
